Steve Mallon 2024 Fyfe Composition Prize Finalist

Cordus Mundi is once again pleased and very proud to advise that multi-talented Cordus bass (and sometimes baritone, and sometimes tenor) Steve Mallon has added to his list of composing accolades with his placement as a finalist in the 2024 Peter & Lois Fyfe Composition Prize for solo organ. Mallon’s entry, Immortal. Invisible, received high commendation & recognition from the judges.

The Fyfe composition prizes are awarded as a function of the Sewanee Church Music Conference, founded in 1951. Since its inception, the conference has been a leader in continuing education for liturgical church musicians, providing the opportunity not only to learn new skills and refresh old ones but also to share experiences and ideas with colleagues from across the country.
